“Overcoming Crisis - Planning For Our Future Beyond Covid-19.”

With the seemingly overnight arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, our worlds have been collectively turned upside down. Many of us have been plunged into a world of remote working, home quarantining, and supporting loved ones who have been affected by the virus. These unprecedented times are certainly a challenge.

However, our ethos at Little Spanish Garden is based on focusing on the positive - and this applies to this situation!

The sense of community spirit we have seen in our neighborhoods has been inspiring. The children and the families we support have continued to be our inspiration moving forwards, no matter the obstacles we may face.

As many of you will know, we were due to launch our freshly renovated learning center in Amherst, NY during early months of 2020. It was to be an exciting time of new opportunity and further facility for new students to join us on a new chapter for our organization. We have spent a great deal of time preparing for the moment of opening the doors - until the corona virus arrived.

Under the current circumstances, we have not been able to open as we had planned. With the nationwide restrictions, this just wasn’t an option for us. Unfortunately, this has implicated a significant problem to us as a small, independent business. Without the funds of new intake, we are now very vulnerable.

At this stage of events, we vitally need funding support from the federal government to be able to survive - and to thrive!

As many of you will know, we are the first and only provider of early-learning that immerses the child both in Spanish and English. Our bi-lingual approach is the heart of what we do, and it’s just one of the unique components that make our approach to child centered learning so very special.

For us to be able to continue to deliver the high quality learning opportunities that we have done since 2016 at our Cheektowaga location, we need significant support to be able to do so. We feel that federal government needs to step in with financial assistance for us to be able to do what we do best!

Now, more than ever, we need to pull together in times of difficulty. Using our strong sense of community spirit and positive belief in the future, we intend to do all we can to survive the catastrophe and come out of the side even stronger. For that to happen, we need support from every level of the system.

We are sharing our story with you, to keep you informed of our development. As an important member of our community, we value your presence and your ongoing support in the current challenging circumstances. We look forwards to our future with faith, and very much hope that we are able to welcome you to the new center as soon as possible.

Until then - stay safe, stay well, and thank-you for being a part of the journey of Little Spanish Garden.

Can't wait to meet you!
